The story I am about to share with you may be shocking. It’s a story about how I found myself in the least likely of circumstances. It’s a story that if told, has the potential to hurt others, but ironically could help many more.

It’s a story that defies what we believe the path of healing should look like. And maybe the most shocking thing about this story, is that it’s entirely true.

This was the opening of a book I was writing in which I wanted to share my personal stories around shadow work.

I have sat patiently with this story for the last 8 years.

Truth be told, I needed to grow into the woman who could hold the energy of telling a story as confronting as this one.

It’s a story that has the power to break down the illusions of separation, to change the way we look at good & evil, right & wrong. It’s a story that is meant to challenge those hearing it to look at ALL of who they are, because you cannot shed light on the darkness you keep hidden.

This experience should require a disclaimer. Paradox will be provocative, it will be intense, it will be confronting, and for the right person all of that will activate a power and permission within them to rise up and look at their shadows head on- with compassion and conviction.
